The real secret to bone broth’s healing power

This post comes to you during the heart of the holidays and we’re thrilled to share it!

After several years of running Broth Masters, we’re amazed at how much the wider public knows about bone broth.

(A decade ago, lots of people still had no idea what collagen and glycine were!)

Yet there are so many special things about bone broth that still escape the public’s eye.

And if you’re focused on healing and resetting next month (whether that’s relieving achy joints, soothing a troubled stomach, or giving your whole body some long-overdue TLC…)

We’re excited to introduce you to some superstar nutrients in bone broth that could change the quality of your life.

They’re called sulfated glycosaminoglycans

(Pronounced sull-fated gleye-cose-amino-gleye-cans — don’t worry, it gets easier after you say it a few times, or you can just say sulfated GAGs like we do!)

If you’ve ever heard of Glucosamine, or Chondroitin Sulfate, those are examples of sulfated GAGs.

These nutrients lubricate the joints, cartilage, tendons, and tissue that need it the most. They can even stimulate your body’s natural production of collagen. And when you consume them regularly, the effects can be remarkable.

For example, one study found that Chondroitin Sulfate was just as effective in relieving osteoarthritic knee pain as a prescription anti-inflammatory!

When we took Broth Masters to a university for nutrient testing, their scientist said: “I understand why this broth helped with your daughter’s Chohn’s, because it has a large amount of sulfated GAGs and those can really help with inflammation.”

Even just with our own customers, we’ve seen it make a difference:

“I have struggled with stomach issues for years. Eating Broth Masters bone broth has dramatically improved my quality of life. I wish I would have found this years ago. Shipping the broth out of state is very convenient and the containers stay frozen during shipment.” — Charlie S.

I have one or two cups of broth per day and I love it. It has a rich, homemade taste that is far superior to any other broth on the market. I have struggled with acid reflux for years and it is much improved after adding this broth to my daily routine. Also, this broth makes you feel full to support a healthy diet. I love knowing that I am getting a great nutritional boost in such an enjoyable way. This is really a great investment in your health. -- Donna B.

I was skeptical, but was willing to try it considering my joint pain as a 25 year old. Typically very healthy otherwise, but I did not want to revert to pain killers for achy joints. I started a small 1 week sample, with no results. I then got a 1 month pack, and after about 3-4 weeks I could feel the difference. I am close to 6 weeks in, and back to working out daily working out my legs normally - something I haven't been able to do in 6 months. Nothing else in my diet has changed. I'm sure it helps with other things as well that I don't notice, but for me, it significantly improved my issues. -- Ujwal V.

Now obviously, sulfated GAGs aren’t a miracle cure, and we can’t promise specific health benefits to anyone.

Still — if you’re interested in infusing your body with some of the most anti-inflammatory nutrients that nature has to offer, we think Broth Masters will make you happy.

Most broths cook for under 24 hours, which yields lower amounts of overall nutrition and sulfated GAGs.

Broth Masters is slow-simmered for 48 hours, resulting in a more restorative broth than you may be used to.

Our beef + chicken broth has the highest amount sulfated GAGS, but our chicken blend has plenty too.

Why not find out what these unsung healing heroes can do for YOUR body? ❤️

To happy holidays and hardcore healing,

-Dorothy & Laya
